Currently August 2015

Well, today is my last day before school starts. A new school, new students, new everything. I am a little terrified, but I know it is all going to be ok. I guess it is a little more stressful for special ed teachers- not knowing the students ability levels, personalities, likes, dislikes- not that regular ed teachers have an easier job- just different. I think next year, after I am settled in at the new school and am familiar with procedures and people it will be different.

I have spent so much time (and money) working on my classroom- that will be my next blog post- before and after. Wow- you are going to be amazed at the transformation! I am looking forward to blogging right along for my first blogger school year! Would love to hook up with any special ed teachers who teach more "resource" type classes. Please feel free to contact me at:

Well- hope everyone has a great 2015-2016 school year.

Currently July

All Star-

So I guess, to be honest, I feel like I have the ability to be an all star at anything I put my mind to!
I'm super excited about being a part of the July Currently Linky! Things have been so exciting the last couple of weeks. Today I got to visit my new classroom. Although I sincerely hate to leave my wonderful Roseland Family, I am looking forward to this new adventure. It would be nice if I had walked in to a beautiful light to seafoam blue- newly painted classroom, but who doesn't like going to look at those paint swatches/thingies? It's like picking one crayon! One educlips set! So, I am going to do a before and after in the hopes I will get more than one single follower on my blog! LOL! (no, seriously)

Thank you so much to the Louisiana Teacher Blogger Meetup Family for posting such wonderful comments. I will get there!  It's only really been a month since I really started trying to blog- so if you happen to stop by and read this- please follow me and join THIS new and wonderful ride- I promise lots of laughs and for you to learn a thing or two or three.......... Have a great day! Here's my CURRENTLY thanks to

Oh Boy 4th Grade for sponsoring, and I promise to follow the rules!!! And a big shout out to team USA Women's Soccer. You ROCK!

Swag Bag Giveaway!

I am a total "newbie" to blogging. I am a Louisiana Special Educator of 5-6th grade students.  A couple of months ago I decided to try blogging, because I wanted to be able to share and network with other educators.  I signed up for a Louisiana Blogger Teacher Meet-Up that was "in the works". Wow! I had no idea how many wonderful and talented people I would meet. Saturday, June 27, 2015 we got together in Baton Rouge. Jasmine McClain of coordinated the event. She did such a phenomenal job (Thank you Jasmine!).  I am so honored and proud to be part of this incredible group! It was a great day, and now we are sharing!

This  was a small part of the great stuff I came home with- along with my new friends!
